***

Reading Harry Potter is one thing that I would like to do since I knew about Harry Potter. I know, actually, it's kinda late for me to start collecting Harry Potter Series, but, I don't care. I still like the way Rowling create her imagination. Harry Potter still being my favorite series. Maybe, many people around me wonder why I really like Harry Potter so much. Honestly, I am wondering the same thing. Why do I like this series so much? Perhaps, the reason behind this is about my childhood. Since I was in elementary school, Harry Potter movie has been caught by my eyes. I always wait every Harry Potter movies in telly. I love the magical world and I think, Rowling is the most genius person in fantasy. I know, I should try to read another fantasy author like Neil Geilman. I know it. But, until now, Rowling still make me love her story.

'All-all three of us?'
'Oh, come off it, you don't think we'd let you go alone?'
'Of course not. How do you think you'd get the stone without us?'

Talking about Harry Potter, we should came back to Privet Drive number 4. In there, Dursley family lived. When we entered the house, we could see that this family was not as good as the other family. They were very cruel and mean. Since he was a baby, Harry Potter lived there. Okay, actually, since his parent dead, Harry was taken care by Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia. Most of people knew about that. Being part of Dursley family, Harry knew so much that he was nothing. He always bullied by Dudley. His Uncle and Aunt don't like Harry very much. Moreover if Harry talked about something which related with magic or some impossible thing, his uncle and aunt would be really mad and punish him. Harry felt very frustrated because of that. He wondered if he could get any way out from Dursley family.

'I won't let you do it. I'll-I'll fight you!' Neville, pg. 292.

In fact, the opportunity to went out from Dursley house came from a letter that sent to Harry. After many incidents happened because of that letter, including Uncle Vernon got mad and force his wife and son, with Harry to go to a broken house in the middle of the sea, Harry finally knew who he really was. He was a wizard and so do his mother and fother. From there, Harry was really excited because he could go to Hogwarts and met many adventures there. Together with Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, Harry should face many things, start from Draco Malfoy, who really like to insult Harry, Professor Snape, until Voldemort, the one who killed Harry's parent. Maybe, Harry's live would not be like this if he wasn't a wizard.

'It's obvious, isn't it? We've got to play our way accross the room.' Ron, pg. 302.

Yeay! Finally. I could read this book. Eventhough I have red this book--actually all of the book from this series, I still want to read all of them, again. So good when we could read a book that we want to read. Moreover, if we could have the book by our self. Maybe everyone judge me childish or what because I really like this series, but, Harry Potter is one of my favorite novel. I hope that I could have all of the books. I am eager to collect every books of Rowling's work.

In my opinion, this book could teach us many things. Start from family, friendship, until bravery. I means, this books is good for children. There are so many messages in this book. I don't think that this book is only talk about magic. Many things you can learn from this book. I don't know why, maybe because this is the first time I read Harry Potter in English language, I think that this book is not as thick as I think. Or, maybe because the translated one thicker than the original book. Maybe. But, when I red this book, I could imagine how Harry, Ron, Hermione, Malfoy, or Snape talk in the movie. It's just fun for me. After read this, I want to watch the movie again.

'Call him Voldemort, Harry. Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear if the thing itself.' Dumbledore, pg. 320.

My favorite character in this book is Harry itself. Okay, I have to admit that I am a big fan of Draco Malfoy. Even, I am really proud because I could get sorted in Slytherin house, twice in Pottermore. But, in this book, Malfoy still looks very arrogant and I don't like it. Maybe, I would like him in the sixth book. Lol. Just kidding. Well, I like Harry because he is really cute in this book. Moreover, I could imagine all of the things that he felt. Argh. I don't know how to describe it, but I really enjoy when I red this book.

Me proud to be Slyhterin. Source: Pottermore.com
'The truth. It is a beautiful and terrible thing and should therefore be treated with great caution.' Dumbledore, pg. 321.
'After all, to the well-organised mind, death is but the next great adventure.' Dumbledore, pg. 320.

I have to admit too that in this book, Rowling tried to make speculation that Professor Snape is bad than Professor Quirrel. Maybe, if I read it for the first time, I could get shocked. I means, no one could imagine that Professor Quirrel is the real villain. And, Professor Snape just being who he is. The one who would protect Harry.

Yeah, yeah. I just hope that I could read the next book, soon.

5 stars *of course* for Harry's first adventure.

Sincerely,

Puji P. Rahayu.

Ps. By the way, thank you very much, Mas ijul for giving me this book. I really like it!
